Carrie A. Hurt, President and CEO of the Council of Better Business Bureaus rang the bell on Wall Street’s New York Stock Exchange in celebrating the founding of the BBB 100 years ago.
She was joined on the NYSE Euronext bell podium by Metro New York BBB President and CEO Claire Rosenzweig; Metro New York BBB Board Chair Rhonda J. McLean, Deputy General Counsel of Time Inc.; members of the CBBB management team; and members of the Metro New York BBB Executive Committee and Board of Directors.

Hurt talked for almost three minutes about the important role Better Business Bureaus across the continent play in safeguarding business standards, and protecting people from fraudulent activities.
“As we move into our second century, Better Business Bureau continues to help consumers find businesses, brands and charities they can trust,” Hurt says.
In 2011, consumers turned to BBB more than 100 million times for BBB services such as Business Reviews on more than 4 million companies and Charity Reviews on over 11,000 charities, all available any time at www.bbb.org.
